news according to Bob, April 2009: I completed step 9 of my plan to reduce electricity use e.g. lighting, refrigeration, and cooking. My result is a $12 a month drop in the monthly billings average. A project has to make financial sense, namely costs recoverable in one year or less.
August 2009: House passed: Federal legislation "Cap and Trade" is merely a higher taxation vehicle benefiting government revenue enhancement solely. Government wants more money from the private sector to feed at the trough with higher corruption. Cap and trade is an employment and economic disaster to small business, and will raise every energy bill 50-92% in the home, small business, and big business. There is no real science backing this up, it is a con job, M.I.T. and others has blown that myth. ALL THE CARBON generated by the UNITED STATES in its entire history, is less than 1/1000 of 1% currently in the atmosphire. President Obama is in favor of this tax raising legislation.
September 2009: A "tax credit" energy policy dedicated to homes, small business, and large business to encourage better design, building, remodeling, and conservation methods applied will cost this government NOTHING... now or in the future. We can do more efficient use of energy ourselves, easily saving on energy costs and use, rather than these large government spending plans! We the people, properly informed, will surely solve the problem for "chunp change." Conversely, the government will print more money, borrow hundreds of billions, and in the end do little or nothing useful as usual.
October 2009: Life after all is said and done is a learning process. A fun one at that!
